The most asked questions answered:
1. HHS is parking for: spectators that want to shuttle to the parade route (drop off at town hall). Shuttles run 10:30-12:30 and again at the end of the parade. Also, residents who are affected by the road shut downs can park there so they have an "out".
2. The following streets are shut down 10-5 - Washington from Summer to Concord AND Highland from Raleigh to Prentice. From 12-5 Washington to Western Ave in Sherborn is shut down. We reposted HPD's detour post earlier today. Please refer to that.
3. The parade starts at the Highland/Washington intersection at 1:00 and ends at Woodland/Washington at whatever time it ends.
There are over 90 units in this parade. I promise you'll want to see the end!
4. Units in the parade can access their staging areas the following way. Division A-Highland St from the Medway direction. Division B-Washington St from Milford area. Division C-Highland from Prentice. ONLY REGISTERED VEHICLES WITH PARADE PASSES CAN ENTER THESE AREAS. Yes, if you're missing your pass you can get down. There will be check-ins at the end of the division.
5. At the end of the parade participants can choose to go straight down 16 (vehicles only, not walking units), continue walking down Woodland and cross bridge to Placentino area, or go through Lowland St. Lowland will be where all floats disembark or breakdown if applicable.
6. Senior/disabled parking will be at town hall and Congregational Church. You can head to the tent on Hollis St by HHS. You will be sent down Hollis St after checking in. Limited senior/disabled seats will be available.
7. Parking and shuttles to staging area for parade participants will be at Placentino lot. Follow the signs.
8. There will be a shuttle at the end for parade participants who want to view the rest of the parade. Lowland and Placentino will have that shuttle. They will drop you off at Grove/Elm intersection. The shuttle will run after the parade is over as well.
9. If you have a float that needs to be disassembled your unit should go to Lowland St at the end of the parade. You can access shuttles from there to Placentino and/or back to view parade.
10. Local business patrons parking is at Fiskes, Middlesex bank and Holliston Dental. The lots will be marked.
11. Antique cars can go to HHS without a parade pass. You’re going first in the parade and will be lead down as one unit
